Alto Garda: Break-ins and Thefts at Various Businesses, Two Moldovan Nationals Arrested Last night, two Moldovan nationals were arrested after committing a series of commercial thefts at various establishments in the Alto Garda area of Verona, particularly in the Vallagarina region between Ala, Marco, Tierno, and Mori. The criminals used a stolen car as a battering ram to smash the windows of bars and restaurants, attempting to seize the cash from the registers; in some cases, they managed to escape with the loot. The operation by the Carabinieri of Rovereto was promptly initiated thanks to the alert from law enforcement.

The commander of the Ala Station, despite being off duty, recognized the suspects and coordinated the intervention that led to their arrest. During the search of the vehicle and the backpack of the detained individuals, the officers found gloves, burglary tools, 500 euros in cash, and clothing matching that worn during the thefts, as confirmed by surveillance camera footage. Investigations are ongoing to verify any possible connections to other recent thefts in the area. The two men were arrested in the act for theft, attempted theft, and receiving stolen goods.
