The Committee “Let’s Keep Desenzano Hospital” has reported a situation that is “institutionally grave” concerning Area 11, raising concerns about the failure to convene the Assembly of Mayors, a crucial body for health and social care planning. Over the past twelve months, the Committee has sent ten official communications to the president of the Area, requesting the scheduling of a public meeting, as stipulated by the regulations. However, despite repeated reminders, no date has been communicated until a response was received on November 20, which incorrectly mentioned an assembly scheduled for November 27, 2025. A review of the institutional documents revealed that such a convening does not exist and that the only published act pertains to a Conference of Mayors, an entity with different functions compared to the district Assembly. The Committee expressed its dissatisfaction with this confusion and made clear requests: the publication of the actual convening of the Assembly of Mayors and the communication of the date for a mandatory public meeting. According to them, it is essential to ensure maximum transparency regarding the future of the new Garda hospital, emphasizing that the information provided so far has been unfounded and insufficient for both citizens and local administrators.
