The Garda Film Festival is set to kick off its XVII edition from October 30 to November 2, with the theme “No Borders.” The event will primarily take place at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera and will feature a rich program of screenings, author meetings, and special events. Highlights will include six films in competition, a tribute to Marlon Brando, and a retrospective on Franco Basaglia, presented by director Erika Rossi.
The festival will begin on Wednesday, October 30, at 6:00 PM with the screening of the documentary “Listen to Me Marlon,” while Thursday will mark the start of the competitive section with films such as “Lala” and “We Are the Mistakes That Enable Your Intelligence.” Friday will be dedicated to the tribute to Erika Rossi, and Saturday will conclude with the awards ceremony. An additional day is scheduled for Sunday, November 3, culminating in the screening of “The Godfather.” The festival represents an important opportunity for cultural and artistic dialogue in the region.
