Castel Goffredo: Moving Towards a Ban on Heavy Vehicles in the Historic Center The Municipality of Castel Goffredo is planning a ban on heavy vehicles in the historic center, aiming to enhance safety and improve the quality of life for residents. This initiative will affect vehicles exceeding 7.5 tons, which will no longer be allowed to circulate in certain central streets, except for loading and unloading operations related to local businesses. The proposal is currently under evaluation and requires approval from the Province, as some of the roads involved fall under its jurisdiction.
To present the project and gather feedback from citizens, a public meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 12, at 6:30 PM in the council chamber of the Municipality. Mayor Alfredo Posenato, Deputy Mayor Davide Ploia, Local Police Commander Daniele Pisciotta, and municipal technician Mauro Ferri will be in attendance. The administration aims to establish a direct dialogue with citizens and businesses in the center to discuss the implementation of the plan and welcome suggestions before the final adoption of the measure.
