An important opportunity for aspiring lifeguards begins on Wednesday with the swimming admission test for the Riva lifeguard course, which will take place at 8 PM. The exact date will be communicated once the course is activated, organized by the federal swimming school Amici Nuoto Riva. Interested individuals must email a PDF file containing a copy of their identity card, health insurance card, a medical certificate for non-competitive sports, and a signed enrollment form from a parent if the applicant is a minor. The course will provide comprehensive training, culminating in the issuance of the water rescue certification, along with BLSD and workplace first aid certificates. The program includes 31 hours and 40 minutes of online theory, one hour of introductory webinar, eight hours of practical exercises, and 15 hours in the water, reduced to six for registered athletes. Additionally, a 30-hour internship is included. In April/May 2026, a course for extending the open water certification will also be available. Amici Nuoto Riva is celebrating its eighteenth season this year in training lifeguards and continues to be recognized as one of the leading organizations in the field of water rescue in the country.
