On October 5, 2024, Brescia is set to host the Night of Culture, a highly anticipated event organized by the Culture Department of the Municipality. This initiative, which offers free access to a wide range of cultural activities, exhibitions, and artistic performances, promises to engage both locals and visitors in a unique experience celebrating art and culture.
Activities in Museums
During the evening, several museums in Brescia will remain open from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM with free admission. Among the main exhibitions:
- Museum of Santa Giulia: For the first time, two significant works will be displayed together: the Resting Boxer and the Winged Victory. In addition, visitors can explore exhibitions by Massimo Sestini and Gabriele Micalizzi.
- Tosio Martinengo Art Gallery: At 6:30 PM, there will be a guided tour on the fundamentals of the Renaissance, followed by family-oriented activities, including interactive workshops.
- Risorgimento Museum Leonessa d’Italia: For teenagers aged 13 and above, a creative workshop will be held to create bas-reliefs inspired by the works of Giuseppe Bergomi.
Musical and Performative Events
The Night of Culture will also feature musical events:
- Basilica of San Salvatore: A concert featuring a duo consisting of Paolo Pellegrini on clarinet and Federico Bianchetti on cello, with a repertoire ranging from classical to modern music.
