In Gardone Riviera, the **second life of the former Casino** has officially begun with the commencement of works for the new restaurant by Massari. Yesterday morning, the municipality sent the authorization decree to the client, marking the start of the transformation of the Wimmer Palace property, where the Massari family won a bid for a twenty-five-year concession. The project aims to create a gastronomic landmark that will occupy the ground floor and the first two floors of the building, providing spaces for events and ceremonies in an exceptional location overlooking the lake. Built in 1909 as a Kurhaus, the former Casino has a rich history, transitioning from a gaming hall to a cinema until its closure in 2004. Now, with an investment of several million euros and an annual fee of 150,000 euros, the initial works will last seven months and will lead to the establishment of a high-quality restaurant and an area dedicated to desserts. Iginio Massari has expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the importance of his roots in the culinary world and promising a gastronomic offering that will blend tradition and innovation in this historic setting.
