Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Region to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, proposing magazine subscriptions from the service.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or municipal guards.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
