They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to magazines from the force.

They are not military officers, but scammers who each time claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the local municipal guards.
