A 76-year-old man from Verona has been missing since October 31, 2025, after going for a walk on Monte Baldo. The man, an experienced hiker with a passion for artifacts from the Great War, had not returned after expressing his intention to search for a tunnel or military trench in the area. His car was found parked in a clearing at the foot of Monte di Castelcucco, but the connection to his disappearance was only established yesterday. The search has focused on a large area to the northwest of where the car was located, with operations involving the Guardia di Finanza, Fire Brigade, and Carabinieri. Assistance is requested from anyone with knowledge of the structures in Ferrara di Monte Baldo, as the disappearance was reported by a friend on October 19, and there were coincidences that delayed the activation of the relevant authorities.
