A sit-in will take place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in front of the Town Hall of Lonato del Garda, organized by the Committee “Let’s Keep Desenzano Hospital” to demand healthcare transparency and the convening of the Assembly of Mayors of Area 11. For months, the Committee has raised concerns regarding the lack of responses about the future of the Desenzano Hospital, which is deemed crucial for the local community. The mobilization has been called in response to an apparent misunderstanding between the convening of a Conference of Mayors and that of an Assembly, the latter considered essential for discussing healthcare issues. According to the members of the Committee, the Assembly of Mayors is the appropriate forum for addressing local healthcare planning, while the Conference has more limited functions. In response to this ambiguous situation, the sit-in aims to draw the attention of institutions and citizens to the importance of having a clear and direct discussion regarding the future prospects of the hospital.
