A new questionnaire titled “Why Tourism” has been launched to analyze sustainable tourism and its economic impact in Garda Trentino. In collaboration with TSM (Trentino School of Management) and the University of Trento, the project aims to gather significant data regarding tourist attendance, sector growth, and the countries of origin of visitors. Utilizing tools such as HBenchmark, aspects like the occupancy rate of accommodation facilities and the average cost per room will also be examined to better understand the added value that tourism brings to the local community. This research represents an innovative step in assessing the direct and indirect impact of tourism on the area, exploring not only economic aspects but also socio-cultural ones. It is the first time that an initiative of this kind has been implemented at the provincial level, with the goal of engaging citizens in the discussion on how to improve the tourism offering sustainably.
