28-Year-Old Caught Stealing from Supermarket in Peschiera, Returns Stolen Goods

A 28-year-old Romanian man with a prior criminal record was arrested in Peschiera on March 23 for shoplifting cosmetics worth approximately €2,200 from a local supermarket. The suspect was caught after hiding the items among his clothing and attempting to leave the store.

The Carabinieri intervened promptly, recovered the stolen goods, and detained the man. He was taken to the Verona prosecutor’s office, and the following day, the court validated the arrest, issuing a ban on residing in Verona province as part of ongoing territorial control efforts.
