A 60-year-old man from Brescia was arrested by the Carabinieri in Sirmione while attempting to escape by train with a stolen e-bike valued at over 7,000 euros. The incident occurred on August 14, 2024, in Desenzano, where the man had just stolen the bicycle from a foreign tourist in front of the Sirmione Castle.
Thanks to the description provided by the victim, the officers were able to identify and apprehend the suspect at the train station. The arrest was validated during the immediate hearing that took place that same morning. The 60-year-old was already known to law enforcement for previous offenses.
