Strapuegnago: success for the Felter memorial and road race
The Strapuegnago, the inaugural edition of the Memorial Felter Costantino, witnessed the participation of over 800 athletes on the warm Sunday of June 10, honoring the founder of Hinterland Gardesano who passed away a year ago. The event featured a competitive race and a recreational walk on courses of 4 and 10 km, with a recorded message from Felter greeting participants before the start. In the competitive race, the favorite Davide Bottarelli triumphed with a time of 35’38”, followed by Daniele Pini and Michele Bertoletti.
In the women’s category, Angela Girelli secured victory with a time of 41’40”, finishing ahead of Arianna Lutteri and Marina Lazzarini on the podium. The event concluded with the award ceremony attended by local authorities and organizers, setting the stage for next year’s edition. The memorial serves not only as a sporting celebration but also as a significant tribute to the figure of Costantino Felter in the Brescia running scene.
