An important agreement for integrated healthcare has been signed in Desenzano del Garda between the Laudato Sì Foundation, the Raphaël Cooperative, and the Poliambulanza Foundation, with the aim of enhancing healthcare and social services in the region. The centerpiece of this collaboration is the “Laudato Sì” Health Citadel, which aims to become an integrated care hub inspired by the Christian principles of its founder, Don Pierino Ferrari. Poliambulanza will manage outpatient healthcare activities, bringing advanced expertise and technologies, while Raphaël will focus on expanding social and healthcare services, including home and palliative care.
The facility, already known as the Community House, offers accredited specialist outpatient clinics and will be enriched by the Genesaret Community Hospital, scheduled to open in 2024. With the involvement of Poliambulanza, the Health Citadel will gain further momentum towards an integrated healthcare model that encompasses prevention, outpatient care, and community hospitalization. This synergy aims to effectively address the healthcare needs of the area, remaining true to the ideals of its founder regarding hospitality and the holistic care of individuals.
