Magasa is gearing up for a summer dedicated to astronomy with starry nights at the Cima Rest Astronomical Observatory. The Astrophile Association of Salò, in collaboration with Visit Valvestino, has organized an extensive calendar of public sky observations, taking advantage of the ideal conditions provided by the sky free from light pollution. The events are scheduled for July on the 5th, 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th, while in August, they will intensify with events on the 2nd, 9th, 14th-17th, 22nd-23rd, and the 29th-30th. Activities will continue into September and October as well.
To participate, reservations are required at the Molino di Bollone infopoint, which is open every day except Wednesday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Visitors will gather at dusk at the observatory, accessible via a twenty-minute walk from the village’s small church. Each evening lasts about two hours and includes an introductory theoretical phase followed by a guided observation of planets and constellations through telescopes.
