A mother and her son found themselves in difficulty during a hike on the evening of Saturday the 5th, in a rugged area between Gardone Riviera and Toscolano Maderno. The alert was raised around 10:40 PM when the operations room of the Brescia Fire Department received a call from the NUE 112. Immediately, an emergency response was activated, dispatching a team from the Salò Fire Department to rescue the two hikers.
Thanks to the swift and coordinated intervention of the rescuers, the mother and son were located and escorted back down without sustaining any physical injuries. This incident highlights the importance of undertaking safe hikes and the essential support provided by mountain rescue, which continues to ensure safety in mountainous areas.
