Urban security in Desenzano del Garda: increased patrols by Local Police
A collaboration agreement has been signed between the Lombardy Region, the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda, and the Mountain Community of Valle Sabbia to enhance urban safety in the tourist area. This initiative, approved on June 23, aims to intensify the patrols by the Local Police during the summer period, in response to the needs identified by the provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety. The project seeks to ensure a greater presence of officers in the area, involving a total of 108 patrols and 25 officers.
The integrated services will focus not only on daytime hours but also on evening, nighttime, and holiday shifts, to effectively manage the tourist flow and summer events. The funding will cover the costs of personnel and vehicles used jointly by the participating municipalities, with the goal of improving road safety and preventing accidents related to impaired driving. These measures have been designed to ensure a safer summer season for both residents and visitors in the Garda area.
