The Financial Police of Desenzano del Garda has recently carried out a preventive seizure of tax credits related to the Superbonus 110%, amounting to €500,000, generated through false declarations regarding energy efficiency works that were never carried out in several condominiums in the municipalities of Desenzano and Sirmione. The investigations, initiated at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Brescia Court, revealed that a general contractor had commenced preliminary works without ever completing them, producing fictitious documentation to justify the tax credits.
Further investigations indicated that another subcontracting company had acquired most of the false credits from the general contractor, and it is also considered complicit in the fraud. Thanks to the investigative efforts of the Financial Police, the tax credits identified in the fiscal records of the two involved companies have been placed under constraint, thereby halting their circulation and preventing potential damage to the treasury. The measure was issued based on the evidence collected thus far, preserving the presumption of innocence for the suspects until the conclusion of the trial.
