The Lake Garda History Festival is set to shine a spotlight on Silvio Berlusconi, with a meeting scheduled for Friday, July 11, at 8:30 PM in the Sala dei Provveditori of the municipality of Salò. The analysis will be led by political scientist and historian Giovanni Orsina, renowned for his in-depth understanding of the history of the Second Republic. Admission is free and offers an opportunity to reflect on a political era that continues to influence the present.
This marks the third edition of the festival, organized by the Centro Studi Rsi of Salò, chaired by Professor Roberto Chiarini, and dedicated to the theme “The Twentieth Century and Beyond.” The program includes five evenings, always at 8:30 PM, featuring prominent historians and writers discussing emblematic figures of 20th-century Italian history. Upcoming talks will include a presentation on Enrico Berlinguer by historian Silvio Pons on July 19, and on Bettino Craxi by journalist Fabio Martini on July 20.
