Road safety on the Gardesana: Federalberghi calls for urgent interventions
Following the recent tragic incidents along the Gardesana, Federalberghi Garda Veneto has written to the mayors of the local municipalities to emphasize the importance of road safety at Lake Garda. The association, which represents over 430 tourism facilities, has expressed its willingness to collaborate with local administrations, the Region, and law enforcement to urgently address the issue of safety along the Regional Road 249. In the letter sent to the mayors, the urgency of implementing concrete measures to ensure the protection of both residents and tourists is highlighted.
The president of Federalberghi Garda Veneto, Ivan De Beni, stated that improving safety on the Gardesana is a fundamental priority. The association has long been active in promoting a more sustainable and safe mobility model through initiatives such as enhancing local public transport and projects aimed at encouraging the use of cycling routes. According to De Beni, investing in alternative mobility is essential not only to enhance the tourist experience but also to ensure the safety of those who travel this important roadway daily.
