Road safety on the Gardesana: the appeal from Federalberghi

Following the recent and tragic incidents that have occurred along the Gardesana, Federalberghi Garda Veneto has decided to take action by writing to the mayors of the municipalities around Lago di Garda to urgently address the issue of road safety. The association, which represents over 430 tourist facilities in the region, has expressed its willingness to actively collaborate with local administrations and law enforcement to identify concrete measures aimed at improving safety along the Regional Road 249.

The President of Federalberghi Garda Veneto, Ivan De Beni, emphasized the importance of considering safety as a priority that can no longer be postponed, highlighting the crucial role it plays for both residents and tourists visiting the area. The association is already engaged in initiatives aimed at promoting a sustainable mobility model, such as enhancing local public transport and developing cycling tourism routes, in order to reduce vehicular traffic and ensure a safer experience for all those traveling along the Gardesana.
