Road safety on the Gardesana: Federalberghi calls for urgent measures
Following the recent and tragic incidents along the Gardesana, Federalberghi Garda Veneto has sent a letter to the mayors of the municipalities around the Lago di Garda to emphasize the importance of road safety on this vital route. The association, which represents over 430 tourism establishments in the area, has expressed its willingness to collaborate with local administrations and law enforcement to urgently address the issue of safety along the Regional Road 249. President Ivan De Beni highlighted that the protection of residents and tourists is a priority that can no longer be postponed.
Federalberghi is actively engaged in initiatives to improve mobility in the region, working with the Verona Transport Company to encourage the use of local public transport and promoting cycling and trekking routes through the Bike & Trekking Lago di Garda Veneto portal. These actions aim to reduce vehicular traffic and ensure a safer and more sustainable tourist experience, thereby contributing to the quality of life for local communities and the preservation of the surrounding environment.
