The Montecastello Sanctuary in Tignale has recently gained attention during the presentation of the “Guide to Jubilee Churches,” a project developed by the Community of Garda in preparation for the Jubilee 2025. The event took place in Brenzone sul Garda and was attended by representatives from the four involved dioceses: Brescia, Mantova, Verona, and Trento. The guide, which is available online, aims to highlight the historical and spiritual richness of the 18 selected places of worship, providing details about their significance and history.
The president of the Community of Garda, Mariastella Gelmini, emphasized the importance of this jubilee pilgrimage as an opportunity to rediscover the connection between faith and the territory. Vice President Filippo Gavazzoni expressed satisfaction with the work accomplished, while Mattia Boschelli highlighted the continuity with past initiatives. The guide will be available in both Italian and English on the official website of the Community of Garda, thereby contributing to the promotion of tourism in the area through a greater understanding of the local cultural heritage.
