The 40th edition of the Salò Sail Meeting concluded on Sunday, July 13, with an event that captured the attention of enthusiasts of Lake Garda sailing. The regatta, organized by the Società Canottieri Garda, featured 25 boats competing in the Protagonist, Fun, and Meteor classes. The winner was the boat Casper, helmed by Lorenza Mariani, who managed to overturn her initial third position thanks to a strong finish characterized by a steady wind of 9 knots. On the podium for the Protagonist 7.5 class were El Moro and General Lee, both belonging to the organizing club.
The event kept alive a historical tradition linked to local sailing, confirming its status as one of the most anticipated moments of summer on the lake. Nicola Benedetti, the president of the Società Canottieri Garda Salò, emphasized the significance of this event for the association and the team’s efforts in ensuring a smooth competition.
