A busy weekend unfolded in Gavardo, where a young man was arrested twice within 24 hours for theft of chocolate and subsequent escape from house arrest. The first incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a patrol from the Local Police spotted the suspect carrying a heavy bag near a supermarket. Upon seeing the officers, the man attempted to flee, abandoning the sack that contained no less than 117 packages of chocolate, for which he could not provide any explanations or receipts. The supermarket manager confirmed that all the chocolate had disappeared from the shelves that day.
After being arrested and placed under house arrest, the same individual was stopped again on Sunday while violating the precautionary measure by walking in the center of Gavardo. This second encounter with law enforcement led to a new arrest for escape, forcing him to spend the night in a holding cell. On Monday, during the trial, the judge sentenced the defendant to six months in prison, with the sentence suspended.
