Historical activities in Brescia: recognitions and impact on Lake Garda
The Lombardy Region has recently awarded the title of historical activity to 591 new commercial, artisanal, and catering businesses that have been operating for at least forty years. Among these, a remarkable 121 are located in the province of Brescia, including 35 enterprises supported by Confesercenti of Eastern Lombardy. These recognitions are aimed at shops and establishments that have maintained their signage and merchandise type for decades, showcasing distinctive historical elements. With this initiative, the total number of historical activities in the Brescia area reaches 687 units, highlighting a strong entrepreneurial tradition.
The head of the Garda area for Confesercenti, Andrea Maggioni, emphasized the economic and cultural significance of these businesses around Lake Garda. They not only provide products and services but also represent authentic experiences for tourists, contributing to making the region a distinctive destination within the European landscape. Furthermore, the recognition allows historical activities to access regional grants and incentives, further supporting their vitality in the local context.
