Castiglione delle Stiviere joins the Garda Community
The Garda Community has recently officially welcomed the Municipality of Castiglione delle Stiviere, thereby expanding its membership base. The announcement was made by Senator Mariastella Gelmini, president of the Community, who emphasized the importance of this membership in enhancing the value of the Mantuan hinterland. The inclusion of Castiglione delle Stiviere, alongside other entities such as the Province of Mantova and the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona – Mantova – Pavia, represents a significant step towards greater collaboration and protection of the territory.
Gelmini highlighted that Lake Garda extends beyond its shoreline, encompassing a hinterland rich in resources that need to be safeguarded and promoted. This development reflects the growing commitment of the municipalities around Lake Garda to support the activities of the Community. However, it should be noted that the Municipality of Riva del Garda has decided to withdraw from the organization effective January 1, 2026.
