Lazise and Sustainable Mobility: The Future of Intermodal Tourism
An important conference took place in Lazise, gathering the “general states” of sustainable mobility and intermodal tourism. The event, organized by Navigazione Laghi to celebrate 68 years of activity, featured representatives from various transportation companies such as Fnm spa, Trenitalia, and Arriva Italia. The speakers discussed the synergies between boats, trains, and buses to encourage the use of public transport in the Lake Garda area, emphasizing the importance of an integrated approach that alternates ferries with land transport.
During the conference, it was highlighted that the Brescia shore of the lake has already initiated actions in this direction, opting not to proceed with the third phase of the Garda cycle path in favor of a hybrid ferry service. These vessels, which will connect Gardone Riviera to Limone, represent a valid alternative to road traffic. Regional Councillor Terzi stated that this intermodal strategy will help improve connections between various towns and could also be beneficial for local commuting during the summer season.
