A police operation conducted by the carabinieri took place on the evening of Friday, July 25, aimed at ensuring security on Lake Garda, particularly along the SP8 “Caprino/Spiazzi” roadway. During the operation, which involved numerous personnel and vehicles, 55 individuals and 33 vehicles were checked, resulting in two traffic code violations, the revocation of one driving license, and the arrest of an individual for driving under the influence. Additionally, another person was reported to the Prefecture for possession of narcotics.
The checks also occurred near the SP8, known for attracting motorcyclists both nationally and internationally. Here, a total of 33 specific penalties were issued for traffic violations. The initiative received positive feedback from the local community and tourism operators, helping to enhance the sense of safety among residents and visitors. The carabinieri announced that these operations will continue in the coming days as part of their ongoing commitment to safeguarding the territory and upholding the rule of law.
