In Gargnano, on July 27, the first edition of the Fiera delle Sigole took place, a historical reenactment that featured a delegation from the municipality of Brenzone, led by Mayor Paolo Formaggioni. The event celebrates a centuries-old connection between the two towns, recalling the ancient tradition of the San Giacomo fair, which in the past attracted numerous buyers from Brenzone seeking onions for the preparation of «sisàm», a local preserve.
The event included various activities, such as performances by the band from the Verona municipality and the “Monte Pizzocolo” choir from Toscolano Maderno. Additionally, a display dedicated to ancient trades and local products was set up in the square, further enriching the festive atmosphere of the occasion.
