A tragic road accident has shaken the community of Valeggio sul Mincio last Saturday, July 26, when 18-year-old Giovanni Arduini lost his life in a violent collision. The young man, who was riding a motorcycle with three friends in the hills of Santa Lucia ai Monti, was involved in a head-on crash with a Ford Puma coming from the opposite direction. Despite the immediate response from emergency services and air rescue, there was nothing that could be done for Giovanni.
The news of his untimely passing quickly reached Villafranca di Verona, where Giovanni lived with his family. The community is mourning the loss of the young man, the son of Francesco Paolo Arduini, a well-known local politician, former deputy mayor, and current councilor of the municipality. The causes of the accident are still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
