A serious road accident occurred in Lonato del Garda late on the evening of Monday, July 28, involving a 58-year-old woman. The alert was raised around 10:30 PM when the woman, while crossing Via Isonzo near a gas station, was struck by a Dacia Sandero driven by a 26-year-old man. The violent impact caused severe injuries to the woman, throwing her against the windshield and causing her to fall onto the asphalt.
Emergency services responded immediately, with an ambulance and a medical vehicle on site, as well as an air ambulance for urgent transport in critical condition to the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia, where she is currently hospitalized in serious condition. The relevant authorities are now investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
