A conference dedicated to Ida Magli, anthropologist and writer, will take place at the Vittoriale on September 20 and 21, 2025, to mark the centenary of her birth. The event, titled “Tribute to Ida Magli,” offers an opportunity to reflect on her invaluable contribution to Italian culture, which was recognized with the Premio del Vittoriale in 2015. Magli, who is buried in the Mausoleum of the Vittoriale degli Italiani, donated her archive to the institution, highlighting the profound connection between her life and the themes she explored.
During the two-day conference, experts and scholars such as Barbara Palombelli and Giordano Bruno Guerri will gather to honor Ida Magli’s intellectual legacy. It will be a moment of discussion on how her unique perspective on cultural anthropology has influenced the understanding of contemporary society and anticipated many of the future challenges that define our time.
