Malcesine hosts VesteMMundi, a project that combines ethical fashion and travel. From August 8 to 17, the Palazzo dei Capitani will feature an exhibition curated by Matteo Chincarini, under the patronage of the Municipality of Malcesine. The exhibition showcases 14 original designs created by designer Roberto Scappaticcio, using fabrics sourced from various parts of the world, including the Réunion Islands and Colombia. Each garment tells a unique story, highlighting the importance of sustainable fashion and local artisanal traditions.
The VesteMMundi project was established in 2018 and aims to create “capsules” of clothing through collaborations with local artisans. Scappaticcio documents the experiences he encounters in the places he visits, promoting a new production model based on sustainability and respect for the environment. The exhibition is not just a showcase of fashion but an invitation to reflect on ethical production and the profound significance of clothing as a cultural expression. The inauguration will take place on August 8 at 6:30 PM, with free admission every day from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
