A distracted driving incident recently involved Davide Calabria, former captain of AC Milan, in Puegnago del Garda. The 28-year-old, who is currently a free agent, was stopped by the Carabinieri of the Salò Company while driving along via Nazionale. During a routine check, the officers caught him holding his mobile phone, thus violating the recent regulations of the highway code.
As stipulated by the new legislation, Calabria’s driving license was immediately revoked, a measure that is also being applied to other drivers caught for the same reason in recent weeks. Penalties for using electronic devices while driving include a suspension of up to three months and fines of up to €1,000. This setback adds to an already challenging period for the athlete, who recently left AC Milan without securing a new team.
