The Political Table for the Hospital of Desenzano del Garda, composed of various local political forces, today presented a proposal to the Mayor for the redevelopment of the hospital. This document, which will also be sent to institutions such as the Province and the Region, aims to provide a concrete alternative to the construction of a new hospital in the area known as the “buca,” which the Table deems inadequate for several reasons, including environmental constraints and insufficient space. The proposal includes the redevelopment of existing facilities and the construction of a new hospital wing in the current staff parking lot, an already urbanized area.
The solution suggested by the Political Table is based on a hybrid strategy that would ensure modularity and scalability of the new structure while keeping services operational during the construction phase. Furthermore, this approach would avoid the consumption of new land and allow for the recovery of already invested funds. The Table is now requesting that this proposal be discussed in the technical table established by the Lombardy Region, so that it can be carefully evaluated in the interest of the local community.
