In Castiglione delle Stiviere, set against the vibrant backdrop of the summer events series, everything is set for a significant musical occasion. The Mothership Band will perform to pay tribute to the legendary Led Zeppelin. This concert, which promises an explosion of rock energy, is part of the 5th Tribute & Cover Band Festival, an initiative that enlivens the evenings around Lake Garda. The event, which is free to enter, will take place in Piazza Ugo Dallò.
The Mothership Band
The Mothership Band, active since 2007, is known for its performances at Italy’s most prominent festivals and venues, where it evokes the magic of the original Led Zeppelin concerts. Their performance goes beyond a simple rendition of the songs; it aims to recreate the energy and spirit that made the band an icon. The live experience is described as powerful, meticulously crafted in both sound and image, to revive unique atmospheres.
The Band Members
The lineup consists of highly experienced musicians. On vocals is Andrea “Ranfa” Ranfagni from Florence, regarded as one of the leading rock interpreters in Italy. Ranfagni has collaborated with notable figures such as Ian Paice and Joe Lynn Turner, and after his stint with the “Rock Legend” as the voice of Deep Purple, he enthusiastically embarked on this project.
On guitar is Marco Felix, who has over twenty years of experience and draws inspiration from Jimmy Page, authentically evoking his sound. Playing bass and mandolin is Manuel Lando, a skilled technician of vintage instruments, serving as the heartbeat of the band’s sound. The powerful and dynamic drumming is provided by a musician already active in the Padua scene, embodying the rhythmic soul of Bonham.
