The thirteenth edition of the “Sounds and Flavors of Garda” Festival continues its journey through the towns surrounding Lake Garda and is set to stop in Gargnano, in the Liano district. The twelfth event on the schedule will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Antica Cascina Liano and will pay tribute to the world of musicals. The event is free to attend and will feature the Infonote Pop Ensemble accompanied by the Archimia String Quartet.
The Program: A Journey Through the Most Famous Musicals
The concert, titled “Music & Musical,” will take the audience through the history of this artistic genre. The lineup will range from classic masterpieces by composers such as Leonard Bernstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber, featuring pieces from West Side Story and Jesus Christ Superstar, to more recent hits. Iconic songs from films and shows like Grease, Elvis, The Greatest Showman, La La Land, The Wiz, Blues Brothers, and A Star Is Born will also be performed.
The Stars on Stage
For this special evening, the Infonote Pop Ensemble will consist of Marcello Salcuni on guitar, Alessandro Zezza on keyboards, Carmelo Isgrò on bass, and Rino Di Pace on drums. The vocals will be provided by Matteo Becucci and Elena Giardina. Becucci, known for winning X Factor in 2009 and for his role as Judas in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, is also a familiar face on the television show Tale e Quale Show as a vocal coach. Elena Giardina, who has collaborated with artists such as Biagio Antonacci and Fabrizio Bosso, has been the soloist for the Super Big Band directed by Fio Zanotti since 2017 and has actively collaborated with Infonote and the Archimia String Quartet since 2021. A version of the song “Toxic” recorded with the Archimia String Quartet has been included in the Oscar-winning film Promising Young Woman.
Festival Organization
The artistic direction of the “Sounds and Flavors of Garda” Festival is overseen by Maestro Serafino Tedesi through his social enterprise Infonote. The music circuit involves numerous municipalities in the Garda area: Calvagese della Riviera, Castelnuovo del Garda, Desenzano del Garda, Gardone Riviera, Gargnano, Lonato del Garda, Nago Torbole, Riva del Garda, Salò, San Felice del Benaco, Tignale, and Toscolano Maderno. The institutional and administrative coordination of the event is managed by the Comunità del Garda.
