Vandalism Strikes Monitoring Equipment on the Forra Road has once again affected the Tremosine area, raising concerns among local authorities. During the night, unknown individuals severely damaged the structures dedicated to landslide monitoring, which had already been compromised by a previous act of vandalism a month ago. The Council of the Forra Road Association has announced that the presidency of the Province, the entity that owns the road, has confirmed the incident and has initiated investigations to identify those responsible.
Authorities are questioning the motives behind such destructive actions and have stated that they will not tolerate any further actions that could jeopardize the safety and accessibility of the Forra Road, which was reopened on August 1 after the landslide in December 2023. The association has pledged to file complaints against anyone involved in these vandalistic behaviors, emphasizing the importance of monitoring to ensure the stability of the area.
