A tragic road accident occurred on Tuesday evening in Navazzo, specifically on Via Sasso, involving two employees of the Lefay Resort. Muhammad Farukh Shah, a 33-year-old Pakistani, was hospitalized in critical condition at the Civile hospital in Brescia after being struck by a car while riding home on an electric bicycle. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, the injuries he sustained, including a severe head trauma, proved fatal.
The young driver, a 23-year-old colleague from Veneto who was returning to his accommodation after work, was unable to avoid the collision. The Local Police of Gargnano responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and the driver of the car is currently under investigation for vehicular manslaughter, although he tested negative for alcohol. Shah, who resided in Dogliani but was staying in Navazzo for work, was supposed to inform his family about the tragedy; however, they had not yet been notified of his death at that time.
