The 7th Transbenaco Perdute took place on Saturday, August 23, starting at 9:30 AM from Gargnano, and saw a record participation of 30 boats. Despite the variable weather conditions, the race commenced with a tight beat, aided by a light southerly breeze that allowed competitors to sail towards the Trimelone Island. The competition saw Achab (ITA115), helmed by Carlo Fracassoli, triumph over Mio Capitano and Tatanka, crossing the finish line at 2:37 PM and securing the Gianlorenzo Trophy.
The event, organized by the Circolo Nautico Portese in collaboration with the Circolo Vela Gargnano, reaffirmed its significance in the local sailing scene and serves as an opportunity for athletes to prepare for the upcoming classics in September. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, August 24, at 11:00 AM at the Cantine Scolari in Raffa di Puegnago, where the conclusion of the sailing season for CNP will also be celebrated.
