Bad weather on Lake Garda: downpour causes disruptions and flooding
A violent downpour has struck the Garda region in recent hours, causing significant disruptions and damage throughout the area. Rainfall has reached peaks of 260mm in some locations, turning roads into raging rivers and flooding basements and garages. Several underpasses have been blocked, and numerous trees and traffic signs have fallen along the roadways, particularly on Provincial Road 11 between Lonato and Sirmione, where traffic has been severely impacted.
The Firefighters have been engaged in numerous interventions following emergency reports received, a task that will continue in the coming hours.
