Desenzano Security: Proposal for a Permanent Political Table for Crime Prevention

Recent events have brought the issue of safety in Desenzano back to the forefront of political debate, with city councilor Stefano Terzi submitting a formal inquiry to Mayor Guido Malinverno and the Security Councillor. The document, registered with the Municipality, highlights concerns regarding crime incidents such as thefts, vandalism, and assaults occurring in the area, particularly in Piazza Garibaldi, which has often been the scene of violence and looting. In response to this situation, Terzi has revived the idea of a permanent political table on safety, emphasizing the importance of a structured commitment from the municipal administration.

Supporting the proposal, Marco Profita, secretary of Azione Desenzano, called for greater collaboration between the Municipality and law enforcement to ensure an effective strategy for crime prevention. Andrea Spedale, a member of the local board, added that safety encompasses not only public order but also livability and urban decorum. Terzi concluded by reiterating that the proposal represents an opportunity to foster dialogue among political and institutional forces on a crucial issue for the community.
