Carabinieri checks in Peschiera del Garda: public safety on the rise

Increased police checks have been implemented by the Carabinieri in Peschiera del Garda in response to the rise in summer tourist traffic. On the evening of Friday, August 29, law enforcement carried out checkpoints along the main access roads aimed at preventing driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. During the operation, 81 individuals were identified, and 50 vehicles were inspected, resulting in five fines issued for violations of the Highway Code.

In another operation in Lazise, the Carabinieri sanctioned a public establishment for violations of workplace safety and health regulations, imposing a total fine of over €17,500. Additionally, a 38-year-old man was reported for driving under the influence on an electric scooter. Operations will continue in the coming days to ensure public safety in the lakeside area.
