Psychological support in Valle Sabbia: active services and projects
Recently, the family counseling centers in the Valle Sabbia celebrated their fiftieth anniversary, a milestone that highlights their crucial role in providing psychological support and promoting health within the community. The services offered range from psychotherapeutic support for individuals, couples, and families, to targeted interventions for adolescents in difficulty. The psychosocial team also engages in collaborations with the judiciary concerning minors and supports adoptive couples, reaffirming their commitment to an inclusive society.
Furthermore, the project “Without a Midwife, There Is No Birth” has been launched, which will be active in Valle Sabbia and the upper Garda area starting in October 2024. This program ensures continuous assistance for women throughout their childbirth journey, with midwives available in the area from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on-call support 24/7 from the 37th week of pregnancy. Access to services is open and unrestricted by residency, with an increasing number of women appreciating the home visits provided. Thus, the network of counseling centers remains an essential pillar for the mental and physical health of the local community.
