Desenzano del Garda and the World Speed Record in Italian Aviation
The documentary film “Wings on Water” will be screened on October 23 at the Idroscalo of Desenzano del Garda, in celebration of the world speed record set by Marshal Francesco Agello in 1934, a feat that remains unbeaten. The film explores the epic adventure of innovation and daring undertaken by the men of the Royal Air Force’s high-speed department, offering a detailed look at the sacrifices and experiences of the protagonists involved in this historic achievement.
The screening will begin at 9:00 PM and will last for 38 minutes and 24 seconds, with free admission. Before the screening, director Gabriele Donati will engage in a conversation with Maria Luisa Crosina, providing further insights into the documentary dedicated to the history of Italian aviation.
