A tragic road accident occurred in recent hours in Toscolano Maderno, where a 59-year-old man, originally from Romania and residing in the area, lost his life after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing. The incident took place along the Gardesana Occidentale, just a short distance from his home. The impact was fatal for the pedestrian, who died instantly, while the motorcyclist involved sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to the Civile Hospital in Brescia by helicopter.
The rescue operations were prompt and involved the intervention of the Volontari del Garda and medical personnel from Anc Valle del Chiese. To allow for the investigations by the Traffic Police and to ensure road safety in the area, the road remained closed for several hours. Although the motorcyclist’s condition is serious, it does not currently raise immediate concerns for his life.
