ABIO Volunteer Course in Desenzano: Support in Pediatric Hospital
Desenzano: the ABIO volunteer course begins to bring smiles to children in the hospital. On September 11, an informational meeting will take place at the “Damiana Abrami” Multipurpose Center for those who wish to offer play and support in the Pediatrics department. The “ABIO – Association for the Child in Hospital” has been active in this field since 2003, dedicated to making the hospital experience less traumatic for young patients and their families. Thanks to the presence of volunteers, children can find comfort and distraction through playful activities, while parents receive emotional support.
During the meeting on September 11 at 4:30 PM, the association’s values will be presented, along with details on how to participate in the upcoming training course to become a volunteer. This program includes a theoretical phase followed by an internship of about six months in the pediatric ward, where each new volunteer will have the opportunity to learn how to sensitively engage with sick children. Anyone interested in contributing to this important mission is welcome to attend the meeting and discover how they can make a difference in the lives of young patients.
